M&P15-22 Mag development

Can someone please tell me what page the product description for these mags is on. I don't know the round count, color, dimensions etc.

Did a video or quality pics ever get posted?

I don't know how many I want without knowing anything about them.

:)

As TacoDaTugBoat stated, I have not discussed capacity amount yet, I will post information in the video soon. I have posted pics throughout the thread though they are not good quality. I will post better quality pics along with the video.

Question for OP, assuming worst case scenario we end up with some hi-cap magazine ban, are there any wear and tear parts on these mags that might need replacement down the road. And if so, would you be able to produce some extra maintenance parts? I know some people have mentioned concerns about the polymer lips, but I was more concerned about the springs?

Do magazine springs wear out over time or is it more of an issue with storing your magazines loaded? I don't mean to derail the thread so if anyone wants to chime in (or PM me) I'll edit my post if this is a non-issue.

If a Ban goes into effect I will have replacement parts available if there are any wear and tear issues.

I have been following this with great interest and now the time has come to ask the question -

When sorted can you export to the UK ??

The M&P 1522 has a decent following over here and I am certain that I am not the only "across the pond" potential buyer for your magazines.

All the best

Do a search on "storing mags loaded" or "mags loaded" there was a pretty decent thread on leaving mags loaded. I think it was in the m&p 15 sub-forum

If the ATF approves the ITAR I filed with them then I can sell outside US. Still waiting on approval. I will keep you posted

You make it sound like they are going to be banded for sure. ???

Well Maddmax, I just read on MSNBC the Senate in Illinois Passed the gun restriction ban on rifles and high cap mags. I hope the rest of the states do not follow suite.

I responded to many emails this evening. If you did not receive a response from me I will definitely send you an email tomorrow. Thank you again to everyone its time to hit the rack.

Would be really helpful if we had an estimate for round count. If it's 25 rounds and costs 2x more than a stock mag, I'll pass. However if it's a 35-40 round mag that is short and isn't much more costly than a stock 25 rounder, I'll be interested.

Last I saw it had been tabled for later discussion.....

I have a lot of reading to get caught up on in this thread but I suggest doing the following based upon what I saw so far.

The following assumes that the mags can be made after a manufacturing ban goes into effect as long as they are paid for in full prior to the ban.

Let's say that a manufacturing ban is set to go into effect March 3rd.

Well on March 2nd, discount your price to $0.0000000000000000000000000000000001 each and sell a few million of them to yourself, Mom, Dad, wife, brother, basically someone you trust. Once they are delivered to that person, they can resell them. I'll bet they'd even be willing to give you a percentage of any profits. Hopefully there won't be a resale ban on mags over 10 rounds.

Sorry if someone else already suggested this idea.

I like this idea. Or you can backorder as many as people want for a penny, than after they're available just charge the 40 or whatever the final price is for the "handling" part of your S&H.

DT: will you be able to send these as a repair kit (ie remove base plate and ship in pieces) so that it will be legal to ship to Maryland (as several other online vendors do)? If this is possible then I am in as well. Thanks for the consideration!

Any insight DT? Thanks!

I will post a video soon going to purchase a Gopro this weekend since santa didnt come through for me. For all Prospective buyers please email me @ [email protected] so I know exactly how many people are planning to purchase the mag. Pre-orders will begin after the mold is complete and I have a fully functional mag. Thanks again to all of you for being patient.
Email sent... :D

Are you sure that they'll be allowed to resell them? I was concerned that the ban on sale would also affect resale.

That is a very valid concern. I think 2nd's scenario is so much wishful thinking. I'm willing to bet he is not an attorney with firearm's law experience. :)

Illinois gun laws have always sucked and look at their crime rate. They are just one drop in a much larger bucket. Think Positive.

Hopefully there won't be a ban, period.
We know - and they know - it wouldn't have made a difference in the school shooting. The last two punks that shot up that school in Colorado did it with 10 round mags.
We know - and they know - that bans won't affect criminals, or the criminally insane. (Interesting side note, at the same time NY governer announced he was going for a ban, he announced that NY was shutting down group homes for the sanity challenged, and moving them into community housing. This is being done at the urging of the Obama administration, "to safeguard their rights".)
We know, and they'd better figure out right quick, that they can't wave a magic wand and get all those mags and firearms out of the hands of gun owners. For a good many of us, especially those who've studied history or sworn that oath to protect and defend the constitution, firearms are more than toys, they are both the tool and the trigger for defending real freedom.
They aren't waving protest signs, they're waving red cloaks (or red coats) in front of 80 million bulls.
