M&P40 Magazines

Okay, new to the M&P40 and love it, but it only came with two mags.

Started searching for the 15 rounders and they are next to impossible to find, but i did find 10 rounders that looked like they had an extension on them... Anyone know if they would fit the full size 40?

Join the club looking for magazines for the M&P anything. S&W makes the 10 and 15 rounders for the 40. Just wait it out as they will be around soon I hope. Otherwise you will find people selling them for $100+.

I would say unfortunately by now you are so far down on the waiting list that if you find one under $60 you would be doing well. I hope I am wrong but you may not see any in quantity hit the streets for at least another 6 months. Maybe never if the Libatards get their way. I wish you luck.
I am not telling you to buy at $60. Only you can make that decision.
The last two I bought were $29 each..the others at $33. Months ago. No idea what the private market is now. Again..good luck.

Well, I paid almost $300 for the four 15-rounders I bought. $75 each may turn out to be far more than they'll be selling for in a month or two, but that also may turn into a bargain if they're banned.

They will fit, but they only hold 10. Assuming you are in a "free state," order the 15 round magazines. What you are describing as an "extension" is actually a plastic block which takes the place of the regular floorplate and fits up inside the magazine well. The actual tube is only long enough to hold 10 rounds, and the magazine cannot be modified to hold 15.

$50 isn't horrible, but I think they are taking advantage of the situation just a little. I just bought a couple of mags from my LGS for $29 ea.
I did see that someone on here was selling them for $125 ea.

Ya people are gonna take adavantage as long as we let them I almost ordered I couple of the mags from.natchez but said screw them let them take advantage of some other sucker. The prices will drop once you all stop buying at the high prices. Lets face it if you can sell for 50 you will. But if it just sits there and inventory starts building sure enough the prices will drop natchez should b ashamed of making there customers bend over just to buy a magazine I highly doubt there distributor raised the price a whole 20 $

Magazine prices are getting out of control (along with everything else). I would like to have a couple of FS 40 mags for the 40C I just bought, but I can wait until things settle down. It is not worth paying ridiculous amounts for them now.

The S&W store had the 40 compact in stock (the ones without pinky rest) for $41. I picked up one. I have never bought from them direct so I hope they ship promptly

The capacity bans are passing! I just spoke with someone yesterday from Colorado. They are going 10 rounds and under starting April 1st. That is only a few days away. If I was you I would get them while I can! They did this during either the first Bush administration or Clinton's where you could only buy 10 rounds and under. My father has the original Glock 40 and it only came with a 10 round clip because they were ban.
