Alright - 1500 rounds down range, took my conealed carry class, every round was on target this pistol has not failed me once - I would and have recommended this pistol to anyone who would listen to me!

Not only should they listen to you once they do or go to the range with you and actually use this or any other M&P they will get one.

I wear Smith & Wesson shirts and hats and own 5 M&P's and will consider nothing else, I have one lone Glock which stays in the gun safe along with a Smith & Wesson Model 59 that I shoot occasionally!

M&P 40c

I picked up my M&P 40c yesterday, oiled it up this morning, and off to Colonial Shooting Academy (said to be the largest indoor range in the country)in Richmond,VA this afternoon.I shot @ 130-140 rounds divided among the 3 mags and it ran like a sewing machine. No failures of any kind and the groups were well centered, just a tick to the left, but not enough to worry about. I`ve owned a Glock 27 for 12-14 years and this S&W just feels right, much better than the Glock. I don`t know what the mystery gun coming on April 12th is but if its as good as this gun they`ll be hard to keep in stock. Kudos to S&W!

At the end of my Concealed carry class the day we qualified on the range - my Instructors asked us if anyone wanted to try some advanced shooting techniques - Of course I raised my hand; first one we tried was at 5 feet a one handed draw fireing from the hip - I put two in the chest and one in the forehead; next was stepping backwards while the target was advanced towards you - firing a full 10 round clip with one in the pipe; all 11 rounds hit - 7 dead center and 4 in the head; I was shocked at how well this pistol feels in my hand and how well I can keep it on target; I would like to try some combat ranges but unfortunately there are none near Lincoln, Ne.

I just went to the range today and rented an m&p 40c. I have never been more impressed with a pistol. I think I'm in love.

oh my goodness i love my 9c....ive been wanting one for along time now, and finally saved to purchase it last month...been carrying, and shooting a sigma for a couple years now. Coming over to the m&p is amazing....love my gun!!!
There we have a consensus the M&P is the best gun that money can buy and that is why all I buy are M&Ps I love all mine I don't know why I have so many and am buying yet another one but here we go again, but it is only money anyway and if I have some it is either more ammunition or a new gun to play with!

Are the barrels interchangeable on the .40 an 9mm? Or do you have to buy a special down convertible barrel like on a Glock from .40 to 9mm to change calibers?

If you have the .40, you can buy a 9mm barrel or 357 sig barrel and just drop the barrel in. You can use the same magazine for the 357 sig and 40, but I'm pretty sure you need to buy a 9mm magazine if you converted to the 9mm.

Just picked up 40c, I like it put about 100 sounds threw it this weekend. Gonna pick up some fs magazines and maybe barrel conversion down the road. Might put some talon grips on it as well
