M&P45, 4" vs. 4.5" versions

I'm new to semi autos and this forum to but about your question ive been watching to many you tube videos about the 45 m&p and I just recently purchased the 4.5". From what I saw in ballistic tests and from talk from what looked like a lot of guys who seemed like they knew there buissness the longer the barrel the faster the speed of the bullet.thats why I chose mine.I mean let's say with a golden saber 230 grain if I got 10 fps more because of barrel length that small differce to the positive side ain't a bad thing would it really matter probably not .and I'm not even sure if that 1/2 inch of barrel would even matter but many have said on you tube.the longer the semi auto barrel the faster.but to me the m&p .45 acp is just a cool looking piece!!!hey check out some BRASS FETCHER VIDEOS on you tube pretty cool for ammo not sure if precisely gets into barrel length but ive seen it mentioned.enjoy

Thanks all. I bought the M&P45 midsize 4" barrel in FDE, 2012 manufacture date. Took it to the range yesterday and it shoots great.

I prefer the 4.5 inch model just to have a longer sight radius for longer shots.
