M&P9 Pro Core Optic Options

Other than the standard optics options mentioned by S&W for the gun, has anyone has any success mounting other types of sights on the mounting plates supplied with the gun. JM uses a Vortex Razor but I dont know if it mounts on a standard plate.

The Burris Fastfire II and III use a standard plate.

I use the Vortex Venom on my PC Core. Mounted perfectly with the supplied hardware from S&W. Co-witnesses enough for me to still use the iron sights. And has a life time warranty.

Here are my two guns with red dot RMR on the CORE and a Vortex Viper on the Glock 17 Gen4 MOS. They work with the plates that come with the guns.The viper is very low easy to co-witness.

I put an Eotech MRDS on mine - doesn't co witness (too tall) , but work great and installed with the factory S&W plates.

I've heard conflicting stories in youtube videos whether the vortex venom would work on this gun. I'm going with your story and ordering one tonight from Cabela's--they have a 10% sale taking the price down to $206. I'm mounting this on a m&p 9L PC. Thanks for the information.

Yes sir - Apex trigger. The stippling was done by a friend at work who's starting to dabble in that arena - I think he did a great job.
