So I have had my M&P9 and 9c for about 6 months now. I`ve shot them a few times which is way less than I usually do but have been very busy. Anyway my guns have test shot cases of 1/2013 and 2/2013. I thought the triggers were pretty decent, they have short resets with audible resets. Today I received my Timney trigger pull scale and both guns test between 7-1/2 to 8 lbs. that seems to be a bit heavy I like about 5 lbs. since I like to do target.

I seem to have read that most the M&P's had trigger pulls about 6 to 6 1/2 lbs. is that correct? What's the easiest way to bring it to about 5 lbs.?

Lastly how accurate are these trigger pull scales is there a way to test their accuracy. Thanks Jim

It's critical that the hook on the trigger force gauge engage the trigger below the trigger safety pivot. That means you need to guide it or it will slide up too high.

I have a 9 and 9C. I picked up my 9C Monday. I have no idea what weight the trigger pulls are other than the reported spec. They feel lighter than my Sig Sp2022 in DA, heavier than my 1911, lighter than my Berreta M9A1 in DA, way lighter than my GP100 in DA. Way heavier than all of them in SA.

If it fells good and you shoot it well, what does the # matter?
