Ok guys and gals. Im new to s&w and just got an m&p9c. Im used to shooting other guns like the xd series. But I got a 9c and I relly like the gun but the trigger is taking some getting used to. I seem to be pulling low and right, Ive tried all 3 backstraps and the same thing. I got some snap caps and I am pulling to the right when the trigger breaks. Is this something that will take time getting used to. Any tips and tricks for getting used to the m&p series of guns. I really likre the looks and feel of this gun. Thanks for the time sorry to be long winded. I want to make this pistol work. Ive never had a pistol right outta the box I had this hard of time hitting with. Have a great day everyone.

Is the trigger stock? If so, highly suggest the Apex hard sear and striker block. Worked like a champ in my 9C and greatly improved the trigger.

Don't bother with changing anything out, yet. I suspect the problem is one of trigger control.

Ensure that the first pad of your index finger is centered on the trigger. The joint should not be touching the trigger. This will keep your own trigger pull from screwing up your sight alignment.

True, plus a firm grip and keep your wrist very stable. It could be as your pulling the trigger you are cocking your wrist slightly.
