I am selling my WW2 Inland carbine from 1945. It has an excellent bore reading, uncommon I-HB high wood stock with the flaming bomb and 1-45 marked barrel. It looks like a type 2 barrel band but I have discovered that it is a type 3 made to look like a type 2. Recoil plate marked SG. Small hairline crack by recoil plate.
In 1945 the carbines were being cranked out fast for the war effort. Some carbines were destined to be M2, automatic, carbines and some receivers were for the semi automatic M1. A stamp of 1 or 2 was placed on the receiver.
