M10-10 police trade in round or square?

My aunt ordered one of these but the grip is too big. I am going to get her a replacement grip but don't know if this is a round or square grip frame?

Any suggestions for some inexpensive grips more suitable for a woman's hands?

Frame mounted firing pin so 99.99 % sure its a round butt. $299 is a great price btw!

Remove the Pachs that are on it now. The bottom rear of the grip frame will either be square of rounded off. Hogue makes a comfortable and probably slightly smaller grip. Nice snag BTW!!

Pachmayr also makes a round-butt K frame Compac grip that leaves the backstrap exposed. Better for a smaller hand. I knew 2 female NYPD officers who used this grip on their RB-K service revolvers.

Just looked at a 10-10 and it is a square butt, 4" heavey barrel, and the serial number starts at BPA02XX. Altamont "magnas" are small profile and smaller than Smith magnas and work well for shooters with small hands. A Tyler T if there is a control issue with the grip. Great piece, your aunt will be well armed, training and some education and she will be "tuned up".

All of the later guns like the one pictured in the advertisement, that I have seen, are round butt.

That's a lot of gun for $299 + $18 shipping.

The only way I know to be sure if it's a round or square butt is to remove the grips. Most grip sellers have photos to compare to be sure you get the right ones.
