Picked this M13-3 up about six months ago. The more I shoot it the more I love it. A little beat up but hey, I buy guns to shoot

Here are a couple other shooters. Not pretty but they carry well and are way more accurate then I'll ever be.

Nice looking hardware. My very first Smith was a 4" Model 13.

I like that mil-spec Springfield. I've got the three inch equivalent of your 13-3. Fun gun to handle.

IMHO, that 13 is just perfect. My best friend has a 13 w/ 3" barrel and he will NOT sell or trade it to me. What a JERK, (me not him). beaver.

I really like my 13-3, packs just right in a El Paso Tortilla with the 2x2x2 pouch. The 13 was the handgun of the Maryland State Police for many years. I load mine with a Speer 158 grain LSWCHP over 5.4 grains new Unique in .38 special brass(slightly over max load for .38 special) That load will put em all in POA at 25 yards. I find for packing any length of time, the K frame is all I want, and am confident with my version of the old Saint Louis PD/FBI load. With the 13/65 you have the option of putting in a Keith 173 Hard cast in magnum brass over a healthy dose of 2400 too, if you are in black bear country. Those fixed sights never go out of whack, GREAT HANDGUN!!!
