I've been trying to find replacements for the wood stocks that came with this gun with no luck. I've tried the Hogue Bantams and Pachmayr and neither will work. Close, but they just don't fit right. The configuration is just a bit different due to the grip safety apparently. The inside of the wooden stocks are stamped "M40".

The wood stocks, even with a Tyler T grip extension, just beat the hell out of my hand. Actually, it's the grip safety beating the hell out of my hand, but the slippery stocks aren't helping.

I don't even want to carry this rig because it's too hard to control. I have a 642 Power Port Pro that is like shooting a .22 compared to the M42.

Any suggestions for something more comfortable for my lemon squeezer is appreciated.

Modify the semicircular cutout on the backside of the grips with a Dremel or something of that ilk. I did that on a pair of boot grips for the Model 40-1 I had, and it worked well. Just need to make it a smaller radius.
