M547 price question?

I found this one at a show about 5 years ago. A guy was trying to sell it to a dealer friend who wasn't interested and I just happened to be standing there. We struck up a conversation and made a deal. Frankly, I had no knowledge of the piece at the time.

Sometimes you get lucky.

Holy smokes jefats, that is a fine looking revolver!

It seems everyone who has a 3" hangs on to it. Over the years I have seen a few 4" for sale, even picked up a couple, but I have not seen a 3" for a very long time.

I have a 547 4" I was frustrated shooting it until I tried 147 grain
voila !
Point of aim ! , has anyone else seen this ?
I don't know why Smith would regulate sights for 147 Grain as I sure don't see much of it around here, was it more of an 80's thing ?
It shoots as well with 147grain as all my other 38's shoot
148 wadcutters or 158 swc
