A little background here before I start with the freakshow pictures...
I traded for this gun with a former co-worker of mine that had it in the bottom of a toolbox in his truck for YEARS.... The finish is absolutely trashed. I couldn't bear to see it where it was, so I took it off his hands. It had been shot quite a bit, but otherwise mechanically seemed fine. I've put about 200 rounds through it myself, and it's a great shooter! I always meant to send it to Smith and have it refinished and gone over, but just never got around to it.
It has a large gouge on the barrel, and another big nick in the frame right behind the barrel on the right side. The action is getting to where if the hammer is thumbed back sharply, it wants to stick. I've never had this happen when shooting, and can't always duplicate it, but have had it happen. As you can see from the pics, the finish is mostly gone.
Good news is that the stocks are in pretty good shape with no major loss of finish or huge scratches. As I mentioned before, it's a good, accurate shooter!
I'd like to get $250, and send it to a home where it'll get a facelift and finish it's years out looking better! Buyer will pay actual shipping, and I'll only ship to an FFL, or it may be picked up in Murray Kentucky. If you have any questions, feel free to pm me or email at [email protected]
