I was shooting my M57 the other day and when I came home I noticed that the locking bolt pin had backed out. I tapped it back it but it was still loose. I decided to put a little locktite on the pin. Today at the range I couldn't open the cylinder. When I got home, I drove the pin out and cleaned out the locking bolt with acetone, put it together and it works fine.

Except, I still have a loose pin. Is there any way to hold the pin in place? Maybe peen both ends? I ordered a new pin, but I think the hole is probably the problem.

Put the pin 1/2 length in a smooth faced or soft faced vise and tap the side of the exposed end gently to put a slight bend in the pin. Then simply reinstall. Note: Slight means slight, barely enough to see it is there.
