Can anyone tell me what size the rear sight blade is that originally comes on the M69?

I managed to drop my revolver and it landed upside down on a tile floor right on the sight blade and broke one of the ears off. I need to replace it and don't know the height of the stock blade. For all the unhelpfulls, I did search online and all that comes up is sight blades for sale and there are a handful of different heights. I was trying to measure it but since you have to break the screw to remove it, and I don't want to remove it yet since it's still usable, it's very difficult to gauge.

I'm also considering just upgrading the sights. I was thinking about switching to fixed combat style rear sight (I don't like the front sight that comes with), fiber optics are a possibility also. The main purpose of this gun is for woods carry so I think the fixed combat sights make sense, I've always liked the simplicity of gutter sights and these are similar. I would also like a front sight that is faster to acquire. Any suggestion are welcome.

Thanks.

Midway has them also. They have .120, .146 and .160.

So do Numrich and eBay.

The kit I was looking at on eBay was only $17 with free shipping.
You may want to start by trying to take it apart and see if you can get it to come apart without having to break the sight adjustment screw. I was able to get mine apart.

Check out this thread if you haven't done one before - some members shared some good tips here

The BEST way to order what you have on there now is to actually measure the height with a pair of Calipers. There are charts on what Revolvers have what heights, however I've see variations over the years. If you were at the extreme end (up or down) with the adjustment screw NOW is the time to correct it with a slightly different size.

If you do not have a Caliper, I'd suggest either borrowing one or investing a few bucks so you KNOW what is on the gun before ordering. Aside from which, a Caliper is a VERY USEFUL tool.

I have calipers, I just don't want to remove the sights until I get the new set. If I take the sights off they become unusable and I can't go to the range until the new ones arrive. I have already been to the range and they work good enough right now. I just line up on the bottom white line.

Anyway, I am pretty sure they are the .146. Ordered a set off ebay. Most other places were out of stock.
