Hi guys,

I have been working on this M908 project for some time now and I wanted to share it with you...

I all started with a M908 stainless...owner decided to keep the original stainless steel untouched, so we got used bared blued slide that I had laying around...




one side


then the other...




then I added front serrations










added rear serrations


fitted a LPA compact sight


fitment is good...




found an old single side safety in good condition. This safety is made of carbon steel, so it will be hot blued the same color as the slide...

Excellent as usual, friend Guzzi! Does the 908 take the same odd slide rails as the 910, or is it the standard fit? These “Guzzi-fied” slides are getting better all the time.

Another great project!
Is that a PC safety? Looks like one I saw on a 952.
A nice subtle nod to the PC line.

For whatever reason I'm not seeing of the pics on this? any clues as to why?

Hi Froggie...I haven't checked on this particular M908 slide, but I think it is the same rails as the M910...

Hey Matt, I believe this was a safety for a model 39-2...carbon steel...really nice...bargain...found it on eBay...

honestly I don't know...let me check...sorry for the inconvenience...maybe do a re-start on your computer/device/phone?
 
This is going to join my 457 which Guzzi did with hand tools , which you would never know . Then I got my hands on a spare CS40 slide which I use for my 10mm setup . Now he's working his magic on this , which started as a 908S with a spare slide . He did up the slide , his special PC cuts . I have a 457S which I'm thinking of going with a spare slide , I really like the 2 tone look . Of course I would nobody else touch it .
 
After the slide cuts were done, the sights were fitted, the details were "erased"...I decided to do the hot bluing using my small setup...




checking the color, half way into the process...


boiled in hot water to eliminate the leftover salts...


let it rest in oil for 12 hours

I put it back together carefully...this part is stressing since there is a risk of scratching something and having to start all over again...don't ask me how I know...:rolleyes:

One of the great insults in the art world is “I really like your early work” but your work early on with files and sandpaper was just amazing. Your machine work is exceptional as well.
Typically outstanding (as we say in the Navy)

Lovely work here. Does anyone here know whether any aftermarket sight supplier makes a fiber optic front sight for the 908/3913/14 series? Thanks.

Hi Limey,

the front sights for the M908 and the M3913/3914 are different. The base on the M908 is wider and the stock sight is made of plastic.

The M908 fiber optic sights used to be made by Williams and TruGlo...they are discontinued...sometimes they "appear" on eBay.

The M3913/3914 fiber optic front, can be found on Dawson, under 5906 sights.

After the slide was done, I got busy with the frame...



disassembled and cleaned the frame...

(took the chance and did a quick action job)



The owner decided to go with an "all silver" frame. This is also my favorite option on a two tone...all the lower "silver" all the upper black...




the slide stop was in bad shape ...


took one step off and re-profiled it...


voila...

Tried it on my cell phone and voila, there they are (beautiful work by the way), it must be something with the laptop's security settings or the company firewall blocking them. i typically spend my lunchtime at work catching up on here.
 
It’s official; Guzzitaco is now the undisputed “Picasso of Pistols”. I’m just waiting for his next “opening” to enjoy another work of art. :D

Hi guys,

thank you so much for your comments...really appreciate them...

I wanted to post one last batch of pics with a different light/background








I wanted to do something special for this build. I always liked the "stealth" book case that the ASP came with, so I tried to build something similar.


looks like a dictionary...


it has a lock with a key...


enough space for the gun and an extra magazine


used high-density foam, so the gun will stay in place regardless the position of the "book"



a little homage to Paris Theodore...

hope you guys like it...
it will ship to his owner soon...
