Couldn't afford the $200-300 for a custom set, so I made my own. Watching my Dad make custom shotgun stocks paid off. Wish he could see these.

I paid $150 for a similar looking set made to fit my hand diagram over ten years ago. You advertise them and you can make a nice little side business out of it.

If I had a more efficient way of inletting it might be tempting, but I'm not really equipped for that. I've also found from previous experience that when I turn a hobby into even a paying hobby, it stops being fun. Plus, there are plenty established professionals with lots of experience who can do a much better job of fitting them to someone's hand. I was able to slowly fit these to my hand because it was always conveniently there. I wouldn't have a clue how to do it from a tracing of a hand.
I'll probably try making a set of ambidextrous grips for my PPC revolver eventually, but I do a much better job if I only work on something like these when I'm relaxed and can do it at my own pace.

those would have cost you at lease a couple of hundred dollars. It took me a minute to realize you are left handed. I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer some times!! Keep at it and look at as many target grips as you can, It is a real art form.

Bravo!

I bet your dad's spirit is smiling ear to ear.

I hope so. I have his picture over my workbench and realized that I was using tools that he'd used and gave to me, so it's kinda like he had a hand in making them too. He definitely taught me an appreciation of good craftsmanship and nice guns. I've been able to pass it on to my son too. He's a mechanical engineer like my dad and very good automotive fabricator. He's not far from giving me a run for my money at the range too.

Great looking grips! I like those better than the Volkquartzen grips I put on my Ruger .22.
