Are you guys finding that it no longer matters how you load 15-22 magazine? I no longer make sure the rounds are staggered and mine will shoot CCI and Fed Bulk without a hitch.

Not in the slightest. None of the 6 mags I own for my 15 22 will fire a full 25 round magazine if not fuly staggered properly. I use Federal bulk and CCI at times. If they are not staggered, I will and do get feed issues. IF properly staggered.. I can empty the mags in a few seconds with no issues.

The other day when I was at the range I noticed that a couple mags that I loaded weren't perfect. they had a couple rounds that weren't staggered properly, but I decided to see how it feed in my gun. I didn't have the first problem with the rounds feeding.

I am about to 3000 rounds through my MOE.
I let my friends 8 year old son load mags about 2 months ago and he just put rounds in there. I figured it would be good to teach him about how to clear jams but they fed no problem. Now I don't really worry too much about it. Maybe it's a break-in/round count issue.

I never have any problems either
just make sure the 1st rd is angled up slightly
and they all feed prefectly
and I always use the loading button:)

Failer to Feeds

I've ran between 500 - 700 rounds through my three week old gun, not one problem. I had heard about the mags not feeding if loaded wrong. I use an old combat M-16 trick, when loaded, tap the back of the mag on your palm to make sure all rounds are seated to the rear of the mag. We used our helmets, but other than those drifty moments I don't wear on anymore.:D Hope this helps a little

I always give my mags a good "spank"... for luck ;)

No, nothing seems to matter when my boys load it?

We've never had a Failure to Feed in our 2nd 15-22 (first one had out of chamber experience and was replaced). We have 3 mags, all the newer ones. Our 15-22 has just over 3000 rounds now (500 CCI, then 2500 Fed bulk). I am, .... , compulsive (yea, that's a nice word for it), .... about staggering bullets in all double stack mags. I use the load assist to push the follower down just enough to get the next bullet in, then let it up against the feed lips to make sure it seats correct. I can't help it. I can load them pretty quick, but ...

both of my boys just jam bullets in as fast as they can. No matter how many times I explain the importance of proper loading, they keep "loading with mayhem". And just to prove me wrong, each and every bullet they jam in there feeds, and fires fine. How am I supposed to teach them to load magazines properly if it works no matter how sloppy they load?

+1 on this tip. works well for me.

Hmm, I am the only one that must have the ammo staggered fully it seems. I guess my rifle isnt broken in enough to have this luxkury yet. Well.. one way to fix this.. go to the range more often. Oh well, if I must.. I must.. lol
