Magazine Question

Trying to figure out what I have 3913TSW 7rd or CS9 7rd or ??- sorry no pictures - will post pictures Monday if I havent figured it out.

I have a CS9 with 2 mags that have a distinctly different wide flat base different from others with the common finger rest base. The base on the 2 odd mags are basicly a half elliptical shape with the rear end wider that the CS9 grip.

Otherwise, they appear to be the same metal geometry - 6 staggered holes each side numbered 2-7, red follower, right side only mag retention slot, small rectangular dimple near top at front of left side.

Guessing they may be early 3913TSW? But are they interchangeable and can I just swap base plates to the regular 3913 base plate?

The magazines are the same between the CS9 and pre rail 3913/53TSW.

The baseplate you describe is designed for the TSW guns.

If you don't like that design, I'd be willing to trade for the regular 3913 style base plates. Feel free to PM me if you're interested.

As Gary said they are the same other than the baseplates.

When I got my Pre-Rail 3913TSW it came with three magazines with the TSW baseplates and two extra finger baseplates. They are interchangeable. I use a TSW in a CS9 but it’s not perfect. I never “got around” to sanding the front to shorten for a better fit.

I also prefer to use the TSW magazine floorplates with my CS9.

Thanks for response - it confirms what I had hoped for that the mags are interchangeable. But I think I'll keep them - I almost bought an early 3913TSW last week and I'm still in the market for one to fill a hole in my 39xx collection. Just wish the CS40 mags were the same as something else that I could find.

As I've mentioned before, I'm not a .40 guy. I do know that the CS40 mags are unique.

I know a guy that has a really nice pre rail 3953TSW that your mags would fit in.

I know a guy that has a really nice pre rail 3953TSW that your mags would fit in.

You would think the CS40 7rd should at least be same as 7rd 4040 mags but NO.
