My 2.0 fullsize 9mm magazine release button broke.
I took it out and it's popmetal. I guess
I bought one on ebay and it is plastic.
which one is correct. I am guessing the pop metal one is.

I am going to contack CS and see if they ll replace it.
The 2.0 models have metal mag releases. The 1.0 models have plastic releases with a metal tab that catches the magazine. The plastic one will probably work fine in your 2.0
I have a 1.0 357 Sig fullsize. I've never had an issue with the plastic mag release.
I bought a mag release from Springer Precision for use in my M&P that I use in LGC matches. Works like a charm, releasing mags is easier, and doesn't get in the way and cause inadvertent releases.
