Magazines

44mag.com

Always my go to. If they have what I'm looking for, they have everyone beat most of the time.

Bad experience? Every time I've used them it gets here quick, its pretty cheap, its like $7 flat rate shipping. Probably 5 times in the last 10 years.

I mean, if you bought a *** Pro-Mag, then you bought a *** Pro-Mag. But seriously, factory stuff. Shield mags- cheap. M&P Mags - cheap. Mec Gar's for Browning or Beretta - seriously cheap. Interested to hear the reasoning (don't read anything negative into this, I'd like to hear).

I purchased a 2 pack for my Shield 45 for 30 something dollars.

If you're in the Atlanta / North GA area, I picked up some extra 8 round magazines at Cherokee Gun & Pawn a few weeks ago for $9.99 per magazine. That's the best price I've found anywhere.

I love those guys! Free Transfers. I get all my firearms there. I'll have to see if they have any Shield 45 mags at a good price.

Like others have said Palmetto State Armory has a deal for $19.99 cheapest I've found if you buy 5 free shipping $8.50 for 1-4 magazines. These are packaged S&W magazines not other brands Just a caution on their shipping they are slow. Ordered mine on 5/16 they shipped (fastest order they ever shipped me) and got delivered on 5/26

Have to agree that Cherokee Gun & Pawn is the best place hands down if you are on the Northside of Atlanta. CDNN has lightning shipping and often has excellent prices. AIM Surplus also gets it out the door quickly and often has "surplus" magazines that look and function as if BNIB (without the OEM packaging).

I use 2 ProMags in mommas Shield9. Never had a single problem with them. I admit I DID clean, lube, reassamble when I got them. They do NOT lend themselves to CCW, for obvious reasons, but they are great at the range.

Just lucky?....Maybe;)

I purchased a couple of OEM mags for my 4506 and received 2 - 10rd promags for free.
I have had no problems using them at the range.

But I don't think I would bet my life on them.

I had a couple Pro-mag 17rd for a P99 which I eventually gave to my uncle. Bought them before the AWB sunsetted in early 2004, then bought factory 15's that September.

They always functioned for feeding, but didn't hold the slide back a lot and the basepads were goofy looking and blocky. Also have a 32rd (hey, it was a long time ago) for that gun. Can't really say much about that one. Sometimes it works ok. Sometimes.
