I took the M16-4 and the M57ND to the range for a little fun this morning. First up was the .32 H&R magnum K-frame. It is quickly becoming one of, if not The favorite revolver I have to shoot. Other than being really fun and pleasant to shoot, it makes me look good. The minimal recoil keeps me pretty accurate. I love just tearing a big hole in the center of the target. I think I’ll be ready for Rastoff’s challenge soon
Next was the M57ND. What a beast! I used up the last of my full power(or close to it) magnum loads. From now on, I’m cutting back on the powder for some softer shooting fodder. Next batch I load I’ll keep in the 950-1050 fps range I think. It wasn’t quite as bad as the same ammo through my 657ND snubbie, but close. Still fun shooting and it works great to annoy the glock fan boy in the stall next to you who is doing multiple mag dumps on a man size target at 10 feet (and making a nice shot gun pattern).
Shot a couple other guns, too…most notably my M&P 10mm, but they just aren’t as fun as a good old revolver. Plus I hate losing brass. I figure I only recover about 80-85% of my 10mm. Some ends up down range, some ends up gosh knows where. I make sure the 10mm I shoot in the semis is all mixed headstamp stuff and keep the Starline for the 610. It was a fun morning, none the less.
