Magnum hunter 44 magnum

Any first hand experience with this model?
I want to try my luck with hunting deer with a revolver and this firearm really has my eye,
Thanks for any insight or suggestions.
FYI I have a smith 69, 4.24" but im pretty sure i need/want a longer barrel.

Longer barrels helps a tiny bit with sighting but an optic sight helps a whole lot more. You might try a Holosun circle dot sight an your 4" gun and see how much more accurate you are, I bet you'll be surprised.

I am looking for the PC scope mount that has 4 mount holes for these if anyone has one they will part with

I own several of the 629 PC Hunters, all wonderful guns. The two tone Magnum Hunter was the first that I purchased and proved to be a fine gun.

I actually have a holosun 507c on the 69.
The 69 is quite a hand full with full house loads. My hand size is a medium at best and the hogue tamers were way to big for me.
my thinking is the weight plus the muzzle break will help tame the kick.

In that top pic, does the muzzle brake smoke up the front lense on the scope?

I have smedium hands, and while I haven't shot the Magnum Hunter, I have shot a Stealth Hunter, which is about 3 oz heavier if the Magnum Hunter's listed weight includes that red dot.

I thought that the Stealth Hunter was the mildest .44 Magnum I've ever shot. It was still a .44 Magnum at the end of the day, but it was a night and day difference compared to a 629 snub (I think it was the 2.6" model, but it was 5 years ago). Heck, I thought it was more pleasant to shoot than a Model 66 4" with wood grips that didn't fit my hands well.

Yes, yes it does. I keep alcohol wipes in the range bag for that.
