Magpul "B.A.D." lever or NDZ "SBR" Lever?

It seem like it would need some type of spacers to stop the side to side movement im talking about.

I doubt you can find a spacer/shim thin enough. A little BLUE LocTite on both sides of the paddle will take care of the problem nicely.

The way I took the question was not in regard the device on the paddle but rather the entire asssembly on the pin in the lower receiver.

My 15-22 with the MagPul B.A.D. Lever and my 15T with the NDZ SBR will both rock fore and aft on the pin in the lower when the load of the bolt return spring is held by the Release. While the actual looseness is very small, it is amplified by the length of the release handle and seems large (moves 1/4" or so).

The NDZ Lever, which has both an assembly screw and half Tee-Slot on the back along with a clamping set screw on the front, goes on quite securely. Of the two I perfer the NDZ due to its offset shape which does interfere with the lower and the knurled surface on the bottom of the release to aid in setting the bolt stop when the charging handle is racked back with no magazine in the rifle.

The slop better run the bolt release paddle and the pin it pivots on is not caused by either lever; the levers just make it noticeable. It's because the hole in the paddle is too big. I know of no easy solution except a bigger diameter pin, and that would entail enlarging the holes in the lower that the pin fits in.

Personally, it's no big deal.

I got the SBR a couple days ago and it went on fine, did not have to cut the spring. I have a newer MOE version that has the blue bolt spring. Holds open on the last round everytime, Love it just like my M&P 15 now. Great training rifle.
