Magpul XTM and Digicam... or not?

So. I'm thinking of getting various colors of the Magpul XTM rail covers and making my own digicam effect with it. Looks very nice. Pity they don't actually sell it that way.

Have any of you done this already? If so, let's see some pics!

I'm open to other suggestions as well.

I have to admit I like the idea of something rubberized instead of the hard polymer but the UTG and other similar covers that are rubberized would be far more appealing if they didnt have a large "UTG" emblazoned in them.

I'm sure you guys are full of good ideas. So let's hear them!

I like the color contrast, too, but I just went with Flat dark earth against the black gun for the contrast. I also spaced them apart for a different look and it makes a nice solid grip area. I also like the digicam look. Wow, I was no help at all was I? Here's a pic for reference...........

Tan and foliage with a pack of OD mixed in.

I took the OD out, took off the flashlight. Tan and foliage.

I really like the looks of the ones that combine all 4 colors.

Cool. I like it. I'm wanting the digicam for the same reason, to get a little contrast and break up the lines visually.

I agree that the 4 color one looks best. I'm not sure if there's some specific combination or logic to combining the colors, or if it's just truly random.

What's the optic you have on there?

Any of you know if the Magpul AFG1 will fit with the XTMs on the side rails? The AFG1 has the grip that curves up around the side and looks like it could get in the way of the XTM rail covers on the side of thwe quad rail.

Looks nice. How do you like having the space in between the XTMs?

I personally love it. It gives a nice, quick point of reference by feeling alone.

My hand falls into the same position every time. Index finger lays on the front cover, middle finger lays in between the two and my pinky and ring finger lay on the rear cover. My palm falls on the rear left and my thumb bridges the gap The covers are set up at the perfect distance (for me) along the rail for my reach. If I were to do anything different, it would be to buy 2 more sets in black and do half FDE half black covers.

i got two packs i would be willing to sell if anyone needs them, 1 new pack of OD green and one used for 5 minute pack of dark earth.... let me know if anyone needs them.

To be honest, the UTG logo really isn't that noticeable when installed, imho. I have the black and really like the feel and grip factor of them. The lighter colors may show the logo more, but what the heck, be proud you have a good product. Good luck with the project, it should look awesome.
