Make it stop!!!

This time of year gets stressful. I'd been receiving emails from several online ammo/gun stores basically just to monitor ammo prices which haven't budged in a year or more. Starting Thanksgiving, the emails started gushing in several a day. It gets tedious deleting them all day long so I just unsubscribed. I won't miss 'em.

I may do that with all companies. I’m getting 50 per day or more. And yes, I don’t need to know that 9mm is on a flash sale for $24.99.

I set up a rule in Outlook that looks for "Black Friday" and "Cyber Monday" then it marks the email it finds as "read" and automatically moves them to the deleted folder. Just for entertainment, I may have a look now and then to see what I missed.

One might think these companies know and care how much the flurry of emails annoys people. But I think the email surge must increase sales or they wouldn't bother.

We’re instituting a new Day at our house... the Monday after Thanksgiving is BigTech Free Day. No use of Big Tech allowed.

So far it seems to have even saved me some money.
