My .32 Regulation Police 6" not sure of when made , will check serial number tomorrow. Beautiful little gun but hard to find a period holster.

Around the time of WW I, S&W did not mark their revolvers with the company logo.
Very nice looking 6" RP! We don't see many with the long tube. S&W introduced the Regulation Police hand ejectors in 1917 with the gold medallion extended stocks. As Gil said, they stopped stamping the trademark for WWI and didn't resume until 1920 when they also removed the medallion from the stocks. Based on those features, we can say with some assurance that your gun was made between 1917 and 1920.
You got yourself a nice one. As Guy said, these are not seen very often. I was lucky to find one a bit over a year ago. Ser # 349152, shipped May 1922.

If I happen upon one in the wild, what are they going for these days? I'm also looking for one kinda. I have a couple 4 1/4" models and lost a 3 1/4" auction recently. The 4 1/4" is the most common and the 6" the least common from what I have seen thus far in my search.
The small frame .32's and .38's are so intriguing. Who bought them and for what?
Especially a 6".
Thoughts?

The first I frame I got was over 40 years ago. It had a 6" barrel and that sweet trigger pull the later J frames could never duplicate. Unfortunately, it had a sort of leprous nickel finish the really damaged its value. On a brighter note, somewhere along the way it acquired a hand tooled home- made western style holster. The leather was a little soft and thin for my tastes, but it did hold and protect that old RP well. I don't recall ever seeing a factory made holster specifically for then I- and J frame long barreled revolvers, but there must be some out there somewhere.
