Saw that this morning. AC/DC has been one of my favorite bands since high school back in the late '70s. His rhythm riffs were the backbone of the bands music, not to take anything away from his brother.

RIP, Malcolm. Thanks for the music.

Malcolm & Angus' older brother George passed away less than a month ago.
George was the producer of AC/DCs first five albums.

Malcolm Young had been suffering with dementia for the past three years, an illness that forced his retirement from the band. He was 64 years old.
Gone to soon.

Yeah, I read about Malcolm Young. Shocking news. I've been an AC/DC fan since their "Back in Black" album and saw them live on their Back in Black tour. Awesome show.
Back in the early 80's I built up a '75 Toyota Corolla SR5. It was a fun car and it had Jensen Triax rear speakers, a Jensen AM/FM Multiplex stereo with an auto reverse cassette player and a Pioneer 7 band power booster equalizer.
I usta love to crank AC/DC up as far as it would go.
That's an AC/DC sticker on the drivers rear window.

That's the only picture I have of that car, really miss it.
It's funny but I don't remember aging.

AC/DC is to Rock-n-Roll,,,,,what Santa Claus is to Christmas.

I was on my rock-n-roll station when the news was announced. Hard to believe a rock God just left the stage. He will be missed by all that grew up listening to him, and also for the new following that will just know find out who he was.

Malcom Young--a true Rock God.

Thank you,

RIP Mr. Young. I spent many a summer night cruising with your music thumping the speakers and rattling the windows. You will be sorely missed by your legion of fans.

'73 Satellite...Pioneer 6x9's...auto reverse stereo cassette deck...Sparkomatic power booster equalizer...all maxed out playing Highway To Hell with the windows down as I pulled out of the church parking lot on Sunday night to cruise the town one last time before the weekend was gone. Yes, there were disapproving frowns.

The volume and stereo has changed but AC/DC is still part of the mix on occasion. Although I no longer have any plans of making hell my final destination.

Unfortunately, given the era and fast lifestyle, I fear we will see many more legends gone soon. Shoot, sometimes I'm surprised I've made it this long given my proclivity for stupidity.

Has passed. I know AC/DC isn't on everybody's playlist but I am a lifelong fan. I don't know a rocker out there that didn't learn their songs growing up.
He was Angus' brother and he was my age.

Godspeed brother.

We're losing too many of the real ones lately. AC/DC was terrific fun.

I wasn't aware till I read the obituary that the Youngs were Glaswegians. Somehow I think that explains a lot.

AC/DC - Thunderstruck (Official Video) - YouTube

The Daly City, California chapter of the Hells Angels used to have Thunderstruck as background music on their website. Anyone who likes AC/DC can't be all bad.
