Malt? Or Shake?

Raspberry Malt with an egg! Laurentian Dairy, Deep River Ontario!

While I don't care for the raspberry, I always used to have an egg in my chocolate malt or shake. I like them both. Unless I make it at home I don't find anyone willing to put an egg in the mix anymore. Everyone got afraid of the salmonela involved.

It's gotta be a MALT! (peanut butter of course)

It's gotta be a MALT....if you are ever near Sandusky, Ohio go to the Toft's Dairy and ice cream parlor on Venice Road and get a peanut butter malt...I'm telling you it is to die for! You WILL think you died and went to heaven! UNBELIEVABLE!

Where in the devil can you even get a malt anymore. Every where I go it's only shakes shakes shakes!

Wiles Smith Drug Store, 1635 Union Ave, Memphis, TN. They still have a 1940's Soda Fountain and lunch counter.

BTW, my vote goes to W-S Hershey's Dark Chocolate MALT, but you have to buy the dark chocolate bar so they can put it in the MALT mixer. One maybe two a year is all that SWMBO (Sometimes :)) will let me have, although I haven't been in in the last couple of years to have a MALT.

What sez you, and why?

Malt (chocolate, naturally) for me, without question. Can remember going to the Hygeia dairy in South Texas as a little kid during the summer. My aunt would take my cousins and me. It'd be hotter than... well, you know. It's gone now. But the memories will last forever.

WOuld ALWAYS get a Malt if given a choice. They have been gone for years around here, but seem to be kind of coming back. :)
Chocolate of course. :D

Definitely a malt!

I remember the Coors malt jar at the dairy when I was young. I'd love to find one today.

Yum

Malt, of course, hereabouts available at Coldstone Creamery stores, where the laws of chemistry and metabolism are suspended, and whereby one pint of ice cream concoction ends up adding three or more pounds to one's weight, in a single serving.

Anything offered by "Dairy Queen" ought to inspire convulsions in Wisconsin, and false advertising investigations...

Fosters Freeze in Menlo Park, California used to make the best root beer malts in the world. Sounds strange but it is a great combination.
