Malt? Or Shake?

Malt... Strawberry. Made only with a good quality strawberry ice-cream, otherwise don't bother.

I can't stand the stuff McDonalds and most of the other fast-food places sell. The shakes aren't even made with ice-cream any more, and for me there is an unpleasant "chemical" aftertaste.

When I get a chocolate malt at Sonic, they usually ask if I want extra chocolate. Is that a trick question? I have the aluminum Carnation malt jar from my parent's ice cream bar in the early 50s. It's on my kitchen counter.

Malt, the more choc and malt powder in the better. Course I won't
turn down a shake either, just rather have a malt. Goose

Would have to say shake.... when I was little I liked malts... when I got older I got tired of the gritty stuff.

Good Blue Bunny chocolate ice gream and about three heaping teaspoons of malt. Stir and have a feast. You can find jars of malt at your local WW, in the section with the coffee creamers.

Where in the devil can you even get a malt anymore. Every where I go it's only shakes shakes shakes!

When I was young during the 50's, mother would make us malts with vanilla ice cream. She would put malt, ice cream and milk and mix. I haven't seen malt in the store lately, I don't know if it is still available.

Most often it's a vanilla or banana shake for me, but a chocolate malt is a real treat when I can find one.

MALT! mmmm Make them at home using dry malt (love the little chunks of malt...they need to almost clog the straw to be considered a "good" malt) Chocolate, of course. Haven't made one for awhile...maybe this weekend :)

Sometimes I want a malt and sometimes I just want a shake. I like both. I loike makeing my own at home. My wife bought me a milk shake maker, so I create my own. I like to put cherry flavor in with my choco shake.

Malt with an egg or two used to be great for a hangover, or just a tasty way to get some protein.

In any event, there's a reason they have malted milk balls, and not "shaken milk balls".
