I can understand that want!!!

Have the picture blowed up and lust after it, because giving four pints of blood won't get it.

Then you shall have one my child , but first you must pass these challenges . 1. find one 2. buy one 3. keep family members from deciding it is time they should go cwc with it .

Mercy! That is sweet. They say if you have to ask you can't afford it. I know I can't afford it, but what would this go for?

Ahhh...I believe that is the finest post-1982 S&W ever made. Add "Blood Work" to the title of this thread, and it will light up like a Christmas tree. :)

I think they are stunning and would love to own one. I saw one for sale the other day and can't remember where I saw it now. A mind is a terribel thing to waste!

The original guns were shipped with unfluted cylinders, as did the .41 and .44 UDR guns. That one apparently has had a trip back to the factory for a fluted cylinder. The gun used in the Bloodwork movie had a fluted cylinder. I much prefer the looks of a fluted cylinder. The grips on the bottom photo are what the guns originally shipped with. They feel small, but are nice for carry. The are manageable for combat use, carry a lot shoot little.

The last one I saw for sale was about $2000. One of our members, Silvercorvette, kept up to day on one he was bidding on a few short years back, that went for over $3000 as I recall.

By the way, where did the Silvercorvette disappear to?

Good luck on your quest for one of those beautiful 627s.

I just bought a 627-5 with a 4" regular contour barrel and fluted cylinder. You could always buy one of these and chop the barrel. And I guess you'd have to kill the lock and de-MIM the internals. It wouldn't be exactly the same but you could make it close. Still, the one in the pic is the nicest 8 shooter I've ever seen.

Here's my baby. You could order them with both cylinders. I have both, original case, dvd, grips etc.

I LOVE Craig Spegel grips, these are Maple...

There was a picture floating arround a few years ago of a guy that had the whole series of those little guys in one of those coffin cases. Anyone seen it?

Here we go again - someone just had to post pictures again.:D

I have wanted one for along time. Bought one on one of the auction sites, but turned out to be a scam, didn't loose any money though.

There was one on this forum that I missed awhile back.

These guys usually go from 800.00 to over 3000.00 depending on the condition.

I was going to buy a newer one and have it cut down to the same barrel length. After checking around, it could not be cut below 3 inches.

I love my N frames but until someone can explain to me why all N frames of this era leave a huge gap between the hammer and frame for debris to collect in, I'll pass.

I believe Silvercorvette finally nabbed one of those "Bloodwork" 627 .357's. I know he bought an M-16 and a Thompson before he stopped posting. I also wondered where he went. I thought he may have joined a machine gun forum since then.
Bob

I see silvercorvette over on the 1911Forum.com a lot lately.
