Man with 200 guns (and a flamethrower) pleads guilty

I got a kick out of the "would you feel safe if your neighbor had an arsenal?" poll at the bottom of the article. Results likely to be reported as determinative by the NY Times.

Allegedly the cops were called because he was firing guns inside his house, and when they arrived he was STILL firing guns in the house.
When they arrested him he was ARMED, wearing a bullet-proof vest, and in possession of METH AMPHETAMINE.
Being convicted on the charges of being armed and in possession of illegal drugs would make him a felon.
Sounds to me like he took a plea rather than go to trial on an open and shut case, which probably would have netted him even more time behind bars.
Not someone I'm going to get upset about losing his 2nd Amendment rights.
But yeah, the headline is written as a combination of propaganda and click bait.

When I saw the headline I thought they were talking about me! Then I remembered that I lost all my guns in that damn boating accident. Then I remembered that I’ve never been arrested. I’ve never shot my guns off in my house. Oh, and I don’t do drugs.

So yeah, some some guy with a bunch of guns, shooting them in his house, on meth = not me…

I think a lot of this is due to piss poor reporting. Can't figure out what he pled to. I'm tihnking that the guy is a whack-a-do and they were worried about him and somehow (as the Feds are so adept at doing) shoehorned it into a pleadable Federal Charge that will carry no additional jail time-keep the guy under someone's thumb and quite possibly prevent a tragedy in the future.
