I wrote earlier in this thread that I was attracted to the mannlicher stocked long guns. Well this week one showed up in local classifieds that I honestly didn't know existed. It was in good shape and interested me, thought the price was fair so it came home. It also has the plus of being a S&W gun ! Its a Smith model E in 30-06, made by Husqvarna in Sweden.

I've had a few Ruger and CZ full stocked rifles, currently only have a Ruger M77 in .270 with tang safety that my 16 yr old son hunts with. I had a No. 1 RSI in 7x57 that I regret selling, and a CZ 452 FS in .22 lr that I sold to a buddy. I have a sporter stocked version of the same that shoots better so I kept that one.
