At least at present. Seems that much of the current CA population is in the process of moving to TX and FL.

Unfortunately...... for people like those of us in California's central valley a predominantly conservative agricultural community we are labeled exactly that way! You got what you wanted live with it! Excuse me but this vet and ex horse and ranch dog breeder did not!

Rusty; that is perhaps the most accurate map of Ohio, I have ever seen! (I'm from the corn part, my wife is from the OSU fan base being a graduate 44 years ago!)
One of the parts I like best is shows there is a marked difference between West Virginians and run in the mill Hillbillies! AND NEVER THE TWO SHALL MEET!

The lower third of the green area should really be titled "West Virginia and Kentucky." Most every family living there has their roots in one or the other - or both. Lots of corn is grown down there too. That's where I was born and raised. A little-known area, but one of the most pleasant places in the USA to reside in.
I love the "Party School and Hippie Oasis" title. I taught there for five years. No idea if anything has changed 40+ years later.

Born and raised for my early years in Franklin county near GrovePort and my parents decided to move to SoCal in the mid 50's. Ca was a great place back then but now, not so much. Many of our family are OSU Alumn and there are two jerseys I'll wear in football season, THE OSU and USNA.
I think LA county is nearing 18 million and it shows when trying to drive...etc. We'd be living in our Texas home but...my bride will not leave our children and grandchildren.

The party school has taken of the list of "Professional Partiers" and been downgraded to "Semi-Pro" (Too many fatal accidents!)
The corn grown in northern Ohio, mostly becomes animal feed or fuel. The corn grown in the "West Virginians & Hillbillies" mostly becomes Moonshine, Pot is the second largest crop in those areas. (We are a mostly conservative state, you know.)
