A Mantanzas High School security video, Flagler County, Fl. Shows a Teaching Assistant being violently attacked. She had previously taken a video game from him.

Video shows Her turning around when 17 year old Student attacks throwing her down on concrete walkway and punching her in the head and kicking her repeatedly.
Subject is 6.7" and weighs 270 lbs.

As this is occurring, a Marine, wearing Khaki top and Dress Blue Trousers, carrying a drink walks up ,sets his drink on a nearby table, and pulls the subject off the unconscious Victim….Subject begins kicking Victim and the Marine grabs his head and pulls him back….Two Female adults and an Adult Male in A Red shirt hold the subject down while the Marine checks on the still unconscious Victim.

A Uniformed Sheriffs Deputy arrives, looks things over, stands back and begins transmitting on his Radio….He ABSOLUTELY should have IMMEDIATELY handcuffed the Subject behind his back, searched for weapons, and called for Fire- Rescue on a 3…a School administrator comes out of his office and they let the Subject up and walk him into an office…First thing he does is reach to his right rear and pull up his pants….Still NOT searched…The Victim regains consciousness and the video ends.

The one good thing to come out of this? Subject will be tried as an Adult and was transferred to County Jail on Aggravated Battery Charges.

Schools everywhere are loathe to report crimes on school property, and will do anything they can to avoid doing so.

Kudos to that Leatherneck for stepping in...let's hope the courts deal appropriately with the thug.

Flagler County Sheriff's Office is pretty good about reporting anything that happens in the schools.

They even have a FaceBook page they post things that's been going on.

Matanzas High School is 1.5 miles from my house in Flagler.

Suspect that some who follow the thread Sgt. Mike Viet Nam Humor might have predicted a somewhat different outcome.

IF this get a ding - It was worth it.

I watched in amazement as he kept inching backwards and watching the women fight with that guy. A real hero, he was. Thank God there were some courageous people there to take care of things.

That was one of the most vicious and violent attack by a coward that I've ever seen. I hope he gets some real time and will deserve every minute of it. Animals like that need to put away until they are no longer deemed a threat to society.

When criminals are no longer punished for their crimes, it sends the signal that the behavior is acceptable. Which is a very dangerous path to travel down.

Subject the wrong doers with harsh and unpleasant punishment, and the crime will certainly be reduced. Slap them on the wrist, and they become bolder in their crimes. Common freaking sense 101!

He may have ultimately saved her life, but I can't get over how slowly everyone in the video reacted, particularly the Marine. I would have expected him to throw the cup down and launch himself in a flying tackle at the young hooligan.

The women were the quickest. The "Men".... well, I'll leave it at that, and I see the regular apologists, that are always here to school us to the "other side" have been eerily quiet.

The women were the quickest to react, and one looked like she was even barefooted. Maybe the Cop or the Marine should have thrown THEM cuffs to cuff the dude.

I get it, not everyone that wears a uniform is a warrior, but this was pathetic.
