Until the mass media buys into the idea gun ownership & carry is a good thing, the battle will be long & diff. When was the last time you heard on national news, but for the ones that go wrong, of a person defending themselves with a gun? Yet it happens daily. It's not reported because it undermines the idea that govt is solution to all problems. LE is great but they are rarely solving the problem, only cleaning up the mess after. When you are attacked, you ARE the first responder if you are armed.
