This store owner did the right thing. It is nice to see that here in Massachusetts public opinion is beginning to turn in favor of the gunowner. Ten years ago this storeowner would probably have been charged with something. Today he is seen as a law abiding gun owner defending himself, his brother and his property.
Even the news papers in this state have been, at worst, impartial.
Have we turned the corner?

Please note that a woman who was interviewed said "she was a mother too", and wasn't sure how she felt about the perp being killed. This is after the guy had a gun stuffed into somebody's gut. Sad!!

..which is exactly what they should be.

Nice to see that this BG was put out of commission before he killed someone...and eventually that is what would have happened.

I got a kick out of how some of the locals were talking about how "that kind of thing doesn't happen here", then further down in the article there is mention of multiple local robberies. They remind me of my neighbors who don't lock their doors, think we live in a low crime area, yet there have been three homicides in our neighborhood in the last year and a half or so. Then there was the lady who felt sorry for the robber. The guy was a recidavist who spent 13 yrs. in a Florida prison for, you guessed it, armed robbery. He had been involved in cocaine trafficing and was a suspect in a string of local robberies. Good riddance to that human coyote. I'm glad he's dead. Somewhere I missed the lady's outpouring of sympathy for the clerks that bastard terrorized. On the other hand, Greg, it is refreshing to hear that the community seems to be standing behind the store owner, especially in the comments after the article.
