May take the plunge. Want a new M&P 15 22

When I first saw the Walther's price I was about a nanosecond away from hitting the buy button, but then I did some research. The Hammerli makes use of sub-frames with a proprietary trigger group very similar to the GSG series which I own. While not "bad" it is a different system.

The S&W uses standard AR-15 FCG parts.
I will agree that the S&W trigger group has it's advantages over the Hammerli but for my use the Hammerli works for me. The only issue I see I have to work around is proper cleaning since the trigger group can't be removed. I hope giving it a good shot of Hoppe's Spray and Lube will be enough.

Great rifles, operate exactly like a "Real AR" and thus, they make GREAT training rifles, the only down side, you will go though a ton of ammunition, especially if you have grand-kids.....

Anybody that shoots AR and doesn't have a 15-22 is missing out.

Just as anybody who shoots Glock and doesn't have a G44 is missing out.

I haven't had the pleasure (yet) of taking my grandchildren shooting but I sure miss those trips to the Range with my daughters. I just don't make it to the Range very often now that they're grown and gone.
