Maybe a bad purchase

if this was my projsct and i worked for s&w... id add 1.5 mm to he bolt length then make the bolt radious about 4-6 times as large(im talkin 1/5 or better) and shorten the firing pin to the point that its a complete tappet system or very close to it, add in a lighter hammer spring.. the radious and hammer spring would allow for a much heavier bolt return spring and never look back... but what do i know i just build stuff that runs on a belt... these mag fed things are way to simple

Sounds like a good rainy day project for me. Will it require more than vice-grip pliers and a hammer?

I just got back from the range. Ran another 250 rounds through without a hiccup. Did 200 CCI mini mags and 50 Stingers. Only thing I noticed was the Stnigers shot 1" high. Other than that a perfect day.1750 rounds and nothing wrong.

wait, was you involved in that? was that what i saw on the news about "where are your taxpayers going to pay the people representing....blah blah blah" and it showed them at a shoot? haha wow i loved it, stood up and applauded in my living room.

yap that was us... we had a ball.. the funny part about that was the media that showed up.. had the best time of anyone they had never been around that stuff... and everytime 1 would walk by with a camara i put a machine gun in their hand.. the sad part is the woman that did the piece on the news wasnt even there she was just talking out her a** the senitors didnt even arrive till 2:30 in the evening and as judd told the person that interviewed him this annual even has been on the books for over 3 months if anyone has a meeting and is mad that we r not there is because they want to be.... just to cause a stink..... god i love anti gun media.. they r allways good for a few laughs... i just hope no one believes that bs that the woman that wasnt there was spreading

i look at one at my dealer and it looks good etc, i am not defending the 15-22 or any other gun till i shot it and had problems or not, i just wonder if the 10-22 will due the same thing, lr22 is dirty ammo and could that cause any 22lr to get out of battery i talking .01 - .1 etc and let it fire out of battry for most people don't clean a 22lr like you should.

Yes the 10/22 can do the same thing, as can the Mark II and Mark III and many 22LR conversion kits. This is not "just" a 15-22 problem and it can happen on most of the 22's out there.

I think most people blow it way out of proportion. Should S&W work to correct it, YES... Would I not recommend this rifle? NO! I think this is of of the most fun to shoot 22's I've ever had my hands on, and I've shot a few of them over the years.
