With mothers' day just ended, I felt the need to post a picture of my 90-year old mother. I'm so proud of this enduring woman who survived WWII and whatever else life threw her way.

Looks like a wise and charming lady. Thanks for sharing

Hey Jun, that picture made my day all the way down here in Memphis Tn. An absolutely lovely lady. I have a wonderful 86 yo mother myself. You and I are blessed!

Jun, thanks for the wonderful picture. I hope you are recording her memories of her life, she lived through very interesting and turbulent times that we only know about through history. Her first hand account would be facinating.

I cannot emphasize too much what great advice this is. My dad's mom will be 92 next month, and is slowing down. Even though she married into my namesake family, she knows more about it than anyone who was born into it. Fortunately, she has kept very good records.

But just talking with someone and getting the oral history of what they have experienced is invaluable. I have learned so much from her about life in the 20th century. When these folks are gone, so will be much of what we can learn about one of the most remarkable periods of world history (just think of how technology has changed since your mom was born!).

You are very lucky to have your mom still around...mine is 82 and I thank God everyday for her.

BTW, Great picture...but you know the rules. All pictures of food, pets or family also requires a Smith&Wesson in the shot.....:)

Great picture and looks to be a wonderful lady. Sip evidently didn't notice the Model 36 in her ankle holster.

Thank you all! She is an exceptional woman. She used to go to school bare footed because she would leave her slippers at home so that her father will think she's home. His idea then was for girls to stay at home and help with the chores. She continued to study until she graduated from college and had her master's degree in education.

I'll make sure she gets your hugs and kisses, thank you so much all.
