My first vehicle was a 68 Rambler with three on the column and a "powerful" 199 cubic inch straight six. It also had those dreaded vacuum wipers. More than once I had to reach out the window and operate them by hand in a rainstorm.
Only the best for me. Don't get me wrong, it was a reliable little car otherwise - oh, wait, I forgot about the self destructing wiring, the generator rebuild, the brake light switch replacement . . . Nothing electrical was original on that car by the time I sold it. And it wasn't even British.
