True. He runs the band, sound crew, light crew and wardrobe crew with an iron fist. He even goes so far as to approve what color instruments are used on stage.
Brilliant multi track engineer, song writer and arranger. That's where I leave it.

From '95 on this is what I did most of my work with.
Never got brave enough to try a fretless.
BITD my college buddies and I had a challenge/party who could get the most ****** up for the least amount of $$$.
I brought a six pack of Schaeffer 16oz cans and a bottle of Night Train.
I "won".
I also never drank either one, ever again.
I saw Roger Waters in St. Paul in 2018. The music and show was great but I had to take a break and get an extra drink due to the intense political messaging against the administration at the time. Even my life long friend who is on that side was put off.

I'm afraid to say without the paper bag being present these all appear somewhat fuzzy to me now in my old age.
The violin, viola, cello and contrabass have no frets. Your ears will tell you when you messed up and muscle memory will remind you where not to go.
Of course if you are playing fusion then no one really notices.
Saw that show in Tampa in 2017. Was under the Battersea feature, and smack dab under the laser pyramid. Excellent show, agreed on the political content. Still have a few of the Resist confetti.

But why not a SIX-STRING, huh? It most certainly would have been mandatory to crank it up to TWELVE with a double-stack of Marshalls!!!
They are also preferred as cashiers as well, for their natural ability to take your money.

Groaner alert...
As the wagon train pushed westward across America they entered hostile Indian territory. As fate would have it they were forced at the end of a long day to camp just across a river from the hostile Indian camp.
Having no choice they circled the wagons, doubled the guards and built their fires as high as possible in anticipation of a long and frightful night.
Shortly after sunset the drums from the Indian camp began growing progressively louder with each passing minute. One of the guards turned to his companion and said "I don't like the sound of those drums..."
Suddenly a voice rang out from the Indian camp...
"He's not our regular drummer."
