Canajun, eh?

My gf in WA sent me this because she insists that I say "aboot" rather then "about". Pretty rich coming from someone of Russian descent born in Oz (her 94-y.o. mother still has her accent), moved to Hawaii as a teenager, then lived in British Columbia for 20 years before moving to England and then spent some time in Holland and has lived in the US since 2004. Her accent is all over the place. I sometimes detect a bit of a New England (Boston) influence, even though she's never lived there. Go figger...

I equally insist that I don't say "aboot", but that I likely simply don't elongate the initial "ah" part of the dipthong as some Americans do. Yeah, well, whatevuh!
