MEMES

This reminds me how I had to stick my 6 foot flamingo wire sculpture out the back window to get it home.:D
My gf did the same with a 9' tree in the back of her 2002 Honda Accord. Fortunately only had to drive about 4 blocks to get it home. Tree is now over 25'.

As to the Motorola cellphone- looks like the first one I got in 1992. I've had the same number for 32 years.

Rocket scientists in Santa Fe bought these in '86 for outlying district hazmat officers. Too bad there was no coverage until the '90s.

Former coworker decried the switch to digital cellphones in rural NV as he still had his Motorola brick. The digital coverage was hopeless for many years. As he put it, "Over 1 watt of analog output is what you need in a place like Nevada." We still have a host of "not spots" all over the state, some pretty large, because of our geography.

I love his optimism. His sense of size & space may be a little off however.
As a former Highway Patrol Trooper, I will also point out that he doesn't have a red flag or light on the end of that extended board/load.:)

I have had to do many things like this in my career. No excuses, just the job done or go home and send me someone that can do the job. He just needs to do the oilfield carry. Put it under the car, sticking out about the same front and rear, then tie it up tight under the car and drive slowly.
