Examined the “updates” offered by Apple for my phone.
Didn’t see anything meaningful or useful to me. Just a huge amount of unnecessary software “bloat”.
No option to “pick and choose”.

Anything aside from security updates is pretty much "meh" for me.

I just did mine and from what I can see the only thing they messed around with this time was the Mail app, which now has some extra icons to add distraction. Being an older model (iPhone 13 mini) I don't think it can take "advantage" of Apple's increasing AI.

I always go through the various privacy settings and make sure I'm not leaking information. I have all Siri functions turned off and don't use any of the Health tracking or other cloud stuff aside from Calendar and Messages. And cellular Data is only on when I need it if I'm away from home.

I must be weird: I use mine mostly as a camera and as a phone For serious stuff I use my laptop.
