Mepros for 340

Does anyone have these sights installed on a 340 PD or SC? Did anyone self install and what is your opinion of these sights. Thanks

Got one but haven't put it on yet.
Original had the epoxy "lens" lopsided and with a bubble. Returned them to Midway and bought another more recently.

I'm told that fitting the tongue into the slot can take some fitting, and then you need to mark and drill the hole for that tiny roll pin. Probably not a huge project, but it will take some time.

My 340PD came with a light gathering front sight, I think it is a Hi-Viz. Can't you order the same from the factory? It works great and it was right on the bullseye as it came from S & W

I read that the hole was pre drilled. That's why I selected the Mepros over the XS.

I have the Mepro on my 340SC. The insert is off center. I drilled and installed it myself. If I had it to do over, I'd just get a regular fiber optic sight like I put on my 640-1 (Hi-Viz).

Had a Mepro installed on my Ruger SP101.

Had to drill it...wasn't as easy as it looks on paper

was a 1/16 drill bit small enough?

You need a wire gauge drill bit, #5, available at better hardware stores.
