Can anyone tell me if the MGW shoe clamp for the M&P will work on the new 2.0 Compact slide? (4inch barrel)
I'm considering buying the MGW sight pro and need to know if the shoe clamp will work on my 2.0 Compact.
Any help is greatly appreciated

I called MGW headquarter before purchasing sight pro from Midway. I spoke to owner/inventor George Camillino (excuse spelling). George said if he does not make shoe for particular model you can send slide and he will make you shoe for free. I would give them a call with your questions. See link. It moved really tight front sights on Smith Shield and CZ Rami. I did soak with kroil oil first however. Tip soak for about a week applying a bit of Kriols with a swab every day. Also line up center of pusher with center of dovetail, not center of sight itself. Want to push at direct angle. good luck. It seems to be a very well made tool.

Worked for my 2.0 compact.

I got the MGW shoe from Brownells, but I'd think Midway sells the same one.

Note that the original S&W front sight seemed to be darn near welded in!! I did hit it with Kroil, but didn't soak it for any period of time like Dave (above) suggests.

OTOH, the Dawson front sight I replaced it with was a snug-feeling fit to begin with, but walked a bit after a couple of boxes of ammo. I took things apart again, did some very light peening, and now it seems fine.

Sometimes replacing a friction-held dovetail sight is easy, and sometimes it's a real hassle. You never know till you're in the middle of it.

The MGW tool is pricey, but well worth it.

Thanks for the replies gentlemen! I purchased the Sight Pro and the shoe clamp for the Compact. Worked great, install complete. I want to thank both of y'all for the help. It was greatly appreciated.
