anyone ever heard of/used this product?

I have some that I bought years ago and never used, but I've grown leery of "miracle" products. Just wondering.

What is Microlon?

I did read some reviews and all were positive but they are several years old.

It sounds as if it does much the same as molybdenum disulfide-MOS2, or molysulfide. Moly also impregnates the microscopic pores in the metal's surface, smoothing out the surface with ultra-slippery molecules. Moly has an affinity for metal, which helps it bind to the surface. It is used in some bullet lubes, as coatings on some bullets, and as a coating in some barrels. Although I haven't tested it personally, I do use it and it 'seems' to reduce friction between the bullet and the barrel when I fire my guns and thereby reduces 'felt' recoil for me. Supposedly, it also increases velocity for a given powder charge because of the reduced friction. Many of the European motor oils have it as a component in them as well.
