Might be my last Gun Show

wow very true.
i went to the tampa show this past weekend trying to sell or trade and its so true,if your buying its made of gold but if you selling there a dime a dozen.

I don't understand what people ARE buying at gun show. Couple weeks ago there was a local show and I knew I didn't want to fool with going. However the local gunshop I deal with will always take a few guns for me on consignment. I sent a Iver Johnson 55 and a S&W 38 Safety Hammerless 3rd model. I only had $25 difference in asking price but the IJ sold rather than the S&W. They were the same caliber and roughly the same condition, who would choose a IJ over a S&W for $25!?!?!

Went to one in Tennessee Sunday. $10 to get in! I noticed several of the "regular" guys were not at this one. Saw a lot of new folks, was really interested in nothing though.

The large booth selling socks was a first. I'm used to the tactical t-shirts and so forth, but SOCKS?

Saw a couple of overpriced Smiths, a Kimber 82 G from the CMP ($422.95 including shipping) listed for $795...and he wouldn't budge!

One guy even had a set of Ruger GP-100 takeoff grips that I wanted to put on a beater of a truck gun, he wanted $45 for them! These were the rubber grips from Lett, not the new Hogues! Dang!

I did find a neat Shooter's Ridge mag and loader for a 10/22, and some rimfire target ammo. Out the door for a total of about $60.

Not sure I'll go to the next one there, just didn't see anything worthwhile.
