Hello all, been searching for something in real nice condition. Something in the K,L,N size being P&R and I believe I have fished out every pond in a 1-1/2 hour radius. So, for now im going to focus on some grips I have found at a local shop.
Would like to ask what would be going rate for the following.
All stocks are in great shape with screws
- NFrame Diamond Target football cut. GA
- N Frame presentation football cut. real dark, does not look like GA
- K Frame checkered football cut. GA
You never know when you might need a set of nice correct era stocks. So many sold these days with the wrong set on them it seems. Thanks,Don

Will post pics if purchased. They are not cokes for sure. Was basically looking for a ball park figure for all three sets to offer. I understand the lack of pics and my apologies.

If the dark presentation stocks have the older 50's-60's era dark washers inside and more importantly the deep SS escutcheons they are probably $350 ish especially if they are rosewood. Later ones will have the shallow brass escutcheons usually not as smooth maybe half that so like $175 in high condition.
You can tell 50's era diamond target stocks by the checkering turn at the heel, 50's had a sharp turn where 60's had a rounded turn.
Usually the 50's era stocks tend to have a shallower football cut but thats not always the case just a generality.
I put a premium on the older style if they are the darker walnut used till about 1964-65ish,

There was a small window in the 1966 -1967 era where the diamond GA's have a gold caramel honey like colour and are very nice, probably worth $250-$300 to the right buyer looking for a pair for a nice Model 27 from that era.

I have seen non diamond checkered K targets from the late 60's that are stunning and K targets from the mid 70's that look like they were made from leftover pallets, condition and wood grain are everything in wood stocks after the diamond era.

Well I ended up with 2 out of the 3. He decided to throw the smooth ones on his 44 in a presentation case. I did check them and they did have the shallow escutcheons. So, I ended up with a decent set of checkered K's and now what I believe are maybe cokes. I'll admit that I was just happy to see the diamond and that they were for an n frame. Didn't even consider the checkering field. Once seeing them today it then kind of stood out. Out the door with both sets for $250.

OMG DEF3, you got ripped off, but since I’m a nice guy, I’ll take that “junk” off your hands for $300!

In actuality, I’d say the K frame pair is worth at minimum $175, and the Cokes are worth at minimum $500. JMHO.

Ha! Can’t believe he didn’t choose to throw the cokes on his 29. Offered the 250 and he didn’t hesitate with a “yes”. I shut my mouth and laid down the cash. Don’t think he knows what he had. To be honest I wouldn’t either if not for the education I am receiving from you all in this forum. Another Thanks everybody!!

When you start accumulating more grips than you need on your guns, you become a Grip Grabber.
You’ll have grips in several safes and a box or two in your garage.
You’ll swap grips on guns until you get tired of doing it.

I did this for a while, I didn't have a sock drawer I had a grips and holster drawer 🤣

I just sold off quite a few I wasn't using and some various parts I didn't need on ebay. Trying to save up so I can get another revolver soon.

What a great find, and quite the buy. In the photos provided I’m not seeing the common damaged areas and the finish looks original, also doesn’t look like the checkering has been messed with. If that’s all true I would value the Ks at 175-200 and the cokes more like 750, and be aware like new sets have gone a good bit higher.

Thanks, now I need to find some guns to go with them. Have not been too lucky in that department lately.
